True North is your all-in-one company for egress windows. We take care of everything from the permit, to the interior finishing of the windows. Basement windows are our specialty and we take pride in the product that we deliver. We install windows with the upmost consideration of the outside environment by providing multi-layered protection from the elements. We also provide a variety of styles, colors, sizes and types of windows to ensure that your new egress window is not only functional, but is aesthetically pleasing as well.

Excavation
The window wells are excavated with a mini-excavator (if accessible) or by hand. To protect the windows from water damage, the window wells are excavated to a minimum depth of one foot below the new window sill. If your home has a weeping tile system, we recommend a drainage pipe tie-in to further protect the well from flooding. Waste dirt is removed from site.
Concrete Cutting
The concrete is cut using state-of-the-art fumeless electric concrete cutting equipment. We use a wall-mounted saw (see photo) to make straight and level cuts, and a specialized ring saw to finish the corners (without overcutting). The concrete is removed from site and delivered to a recycling facility.
Window Installation
We supply and install quality windows that are specifically designed for egress use. They are Low E, argon filled and available in dual or triple glaze. Windows are installed with multiples layers of weather protection and insulation to ensure optimal energy efficiency and performance.

Interior Finishing
After enlarging or cutting a new window, the drywall and studs that cover the window are cut out and the vapor barrier is resealed. Window jam extensions and interior trim boards are used to finish the interior side of the window.

Payment is due on completion of project, by Credit Card, Debit, Cheque, or Cash.
Window Wells
We offer a choice between standard corrugated steel wells or custom build pressure treated wood wells. All wells are secured to the foundation to prevent settling and warping. Six inches of decorative stone (20mm washed rock) is added to the bottom of the wells, which promotes the melting of snow in winter.

Warranty
True North Concrete Cutting guaranties the quality of work and provides a two year warranty on the installation of basement windows. Window supplier offers additional warranties on window products.
